After five ~long~ years, Psy is back with new music and he's collaborating with another *legendary* Korean artist!
On April 29, Psy released the music video for "That That", the title track of his latest album Psy 9th, featuring BTS' Suga.
Aside from producing, co-writing, and featuring the upbeat dance track, Suga also makes a memorable cameo in the MV set in an abandoned Wild West town.
The duo talked about how "easy" it was to collaborate with one another in a series of Instagram videos uploaded by Psy.
Psy shared, "We have a saying in the K-pop industry: If the song is meant to be a hit, it's made in a jiff. I haven't experienced it in a long time. I wrote my part and sent it to Suga. Just like table tennis, we went back and forth with ease. We really hit it off."
Suga also revealed, "At first, because he's many years my senior and he's someone who is well-respected in the business, I was quite nervous. Then it felt like working with a childhood friend so it made the songwriting process that much more fun. We became besties in a way."
"To be honest, I haven't gotten that close with anyone I collaborated with. It's because I'm usually not the type to meet up with collaborators in person but Psy wanted to meet me in person. I seriously didn't expect to be dancing with Psy," he added.
