Romantic comedies that are similar to the '90s classics we used to watch are making a comeback! But there's one teeny-tiny detail: This year's rom-coms have brought us more diversity when it comes to race, gender, and ideal body types. It's time to dim the lights, pop some corn, and choose which of these to watch first:
1. Crazy Rich Asians
We'd recommend it to: Fans of Kevin Kwan's book series, soap opera lovers, and anyone who needs to have their faith in rom-coms restored.
2. To All The Boys I've Loved Before
We'd recommend it to: The dreamers, like Lara Jean, and anyone who's ever had a crush! It's also perfect for a squad having a night in. Nothing beats a romcom + sleepover + popcorn combo!
3. Set It Up
We'd recommend it to: Aspiring matchmakers! They could learn a thing or two from this film.
4. The Kissing Booth
We'd recommend it to: Anyone who wants to relive their high school days, and who had a not-so-secret crush on their friends' older brothers.
5. Sierra Burgess Is A Loser
We'd recommend it to: Everyone who's ever felt like they're real-life Sierra Burgesses. This film will make you feel like a beautiful ~*sunflower*~!
6. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
We'd recommend it to: People who love singing their heart out and anyone who's looking for a light, feel-good film.
7. Love, Simon
We'd recommend it to: Anyone who's struggling with their identity and who feels judged or trapped by society.
