If you've ever wondered what a local version of South Korea's Running Man would be like, you're in luck. That's because GMA Network is finally pushing through with its Philippine adaptation!
GMA recently announced that the Pinoy version of the long-running hit reality game show will be launched soon.
"Don't walk, RUN!" read an IG post. "Because the phenomenal reality game show #RunningManPH is here! Coming soon on GMA."
GMA first revealed in February 2020 that South Korean TV network SBS had signed a contract with GMA Network for the co-production of the show. From the looks of things, it must have been postponed because of the pandemic. Running Man also has spinoffs in China and Vietnam.
ICYDK, South Korea's Running Man has been airing since July 2010. Wow. In each episode, MCs Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Song Ji Hyo, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Jeon So Min, and Yang Se Chan have to fulfill missions with guest celebs. Some of their famous guests include IU, BLACKPINK, Park Bo Gum, and even Gong Yoo!
Running Man was also wildly popular and hilarious because of actor-comedian Lee Kwang Soo, who officially left the program in 2021 after 11 years.
