According to a new study released by Emory University, there’s a higher chance of a couple breaking up if they spend a LOT of money on their wedding.
Couples who spend more than $20,000 (about P900,000) on their wedding are 3.5 times more likely to get divorced than those who spend between $5,000 to $10,000 (about P225,000-P450,000).
The research studied about 3,000 couples in the United States, and found out that marriage duration is inversely proportional with wedding costs. Which is great news for brides planning their nuptials right now, because times are hard and who wants to spend?!
