Sharon Cuneta couldn't be prouder of her daughter KC Concepcion. That's because KC was cast as the lead actress in the US feature film Asian Persuasion.
"My eldest @kristinaconcepcion now doing an all-Asian, mostly Pinoy Hollywood movie," Sharon wrote in an IG post, which featured an adorable video of KC when she was still little. "Tina, I am proud of you! Show the world what you’ve got!"
Asian Persuasion is a romantic comedy that marks the directorial debut of Jhett Tolentino, a three-time Tony-Award and Grammy-winning producer.
Set in New York, the film is about a newly divorced chef (played by Dante Basco) who tries to marry off his ex-wife (played by KC) to avoid alimony. His scheme gets off to a good start, but then he has second thoughts and wants another chance with her.
As of early May, the film was reported to have been halfway through its filming schedule.

Apart from KC and Dante, Asian Persuasion stars Kevin Kreider (Bling Empire), Paolo Montalban (The Girl Who Left Home), Scarlett Sher (Hustlers), Celia Au (Wu Assassins), Geneva Carr (CBS’s Bull), and Jax Bacani. Toni Gonzaga was initially cast for KC's role, but she reportedly had scheduling conflicts.
