The physical, romantic, and emotional bonds you share with your partner aren't the only things that make a relationship extra special. It's also about those moments you spend learning about each other's different interests—may it be world views, beliefs, or as simple as pop culture preferences.
In the time of the community quarantine, we've spent more time on streaming apps than before and it can only mean that you and your SO have had many binge sessions for date nights. Of course, you don't only keep your fave titles to yourself, you also want to share what you lurve with your partner!
We asked Pinays on Cosmo Mixers what shows they've *successfully* convinced their partners to watch. And *surprise, surprise* there are a bunch of K-drama titles on this list—and better yet, they're all found on Netflix!
1. Itaewon Class
"My fiancé is pretty supportive pero ayaw talaga niya magpalamon sa sistema. He watched Goblin because of the cinematography (he's a video editor by profession) and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo because of Lee Sung Kyung. Ngayon lang siya naging invested sa drama because he found out that Itaewon Class is based on a webtoon and he likes comics. Tapos nagalingan siya sa acting so sinundan niya ng Fight For My Way. Sabi niya kung kasing ganda ng dalawang 'yon yung next PSJ drama na papanoorin namin, papayag siya. Sayang sundan ko pa naman sana ng Dream High. HAHAHA" —Twila
2. Gilmore Girls
"My partner has never seen a single episode of Gilmore Girls until I started (re)watching episodes during the quarantine!
"We watched the first ep together and he loved it but he's not exactly following the show *with* me. Half the time he's just half-watching while he does his own thing. Even then, he's seen enough to have grown fond of and attached to the people in it!
"So now, part of the fun is making him kwento what happened in the eps he missed. Parang akong nangchichismis na rin a la Miss Patty. It's a sorta meta Stars Hollow viewing experience." —Jewel
Who's starring in it: Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel
3. Fight For My Way
"We're in our Park Seo Joon phase, but what's funny is midway through Fight For My Way he was the one who would push me to finish episodes. When I was too busy, I would catch him watching episodes ahead—without me. But all's well 'cause I managed to catch up and we finished the series together." —Trixia
Who's starring in it: Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won
"My husband said I'm just as stubborn as the heroine of the series. I said I'm not stubborn. I'm just a thinking person...Girl, nauna niya tapusin. Imagine, I said I was just going to take a shower break. When I returned, he was already in the first episode of Season 4. The heck!" —Kimmie
Who's starring in it: Catriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, and Tobias Menzies
5. Hi Bye, Mama!
"Dati pa sabay sabay lang siya sa panunuod ko. K-drama addict din kasi ako…Pero lately, especially nitong ECQ, naghahanap na siya ng sarili niyang K-drama na papanuorin. Hahaha! Madami na siya napanuod. Nito lang yung Hi Bye, Mama! Eto bantay na bantay niya talaga sa Netflix kasi at that time ongoing pa yung drama, may time pa nga paggising pa lang namin, 'O meron na, play ko na ba?' Hahaha! Tawang tawa ako kasi na-addict na din siya." —Edlyn
Who's starring in it: Kim Tae Hee
6. Crash Landing On You
"To be fair, I wasn't really much of a K-drama fan either. I just got really curious because it was all over my feed na, so I dragged him to start watching it with me. And we enjoyed it so far. At one point, while watching CLOY, we were both crying. It was the first time I saw him cry over a TV show." —Astrud
"My husband is not a fan of K-dramas 'cause he hates reading subtitles. But I finally convinced him to watch Kingdom, both Seasons 1 and 2. He said he's open to watch K-dramas now as long as it is not a chick flick. Haha!" —Lara
