That's right, the next big Disney live-action movie is none other than Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs! So yeah, go ahead and start humming "Whistle While You Work" as you continue reading this piece...
The original animated movie found great success when it debuted way back in 1937, and it even received an honorary Oscar just two short years later, so Rachel Zegler's upcoming turn as Snow White herself is bound to draw a similar crowd.

What will this version of Snow White be about?
Glad you asked! If you happen to remember the events from the 1937 film, then you pretty much got the gist. And according to Deadline, we're about to get an "expanded" telling of the original story. It's worth noting the cartoon *did* take inspiration from a Brothers Grimm fairytale, so maybe watch out for a few more ~mysterious~ elements the first movie didn't have. I know I'll be sleuthing around while watching.
Cool! Who is in the Snow White cast?
You know the upcoming West Side Story movie that's due out in December 2021? Well, this film is about to share a main lead! Everyone, meet Rachel Zegler!
Believe it or not, Snow White will only be Rachel's third professional acting project. Ever! Talk about star power.
Disney clearly knew what they were doing when casting Rachel for the titular role. This is what director Marc Webb had to say about her to Deadline:
"Rachel's extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence, and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale."
Amazing! Now what about the music?
Fans of the original movie need not be worried. The majority of the songs from the 1937 cartoon will reappear in this version. But in the name of 21st century Hollywood, we need a bit of a twist, right?
Enter musical duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who will be working on new original music for the film too. These two are the minds behind songs from The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, and La La Land, so clearly Snow White is in good hands.
Is there a Snow White premiere date?
Unfortunately, there is no confirmed release date yet. But if you ask our friends at IMDB, they'll tell you the film is expected to debut sometime in 2022. Maybe it could come sooner, though? We'll get back to you on this one.

Hard no on this one too. But the movie was just announced—you gotta give Disney some time to cast more characters (I mean, we don't even have an Evil Queen or Prince Charming yet!) and film the thing! But whenever the trailer does premiere, you'd better believe we'll have the songs on repeat.
