On January 26, Tuesday, Pia Wurtzbach made a courtesy call to President Aquino at Malacañang Palace. Because she is Pia and is the Queen of the World—the Universe, rather, people expected her to don fabulous outfits during her visit—not just yesterday, but for every appearance she will make since arriving in the Philippines.
So when photographs began to surface of Pia in a pink terno by Albert Andrada, social media users naturally wasted no time making their opinions heard.
Below, a selection of gems floating around Twitter:
Is she a strawberry sundae cone? A pink and white genie? What the hell is this gown, seriously???!!! #MissUniverse pic.twitter.com/pFl5Ds2ToF

Pia Wurtzbach is gorgeous, but I keep thinking of the Pink Power Ranger in that gown of hers. ????

That #terno worn by Pia Wurtzbach in her courtesy call on Noynoy and in her Makati City Hall visit wasn't nice. Looked like a sundae.

@MissUniverse who designed Pia's green gown worn at the parade &the white-pink gown worn at malacanang-senate? Gowns look cheap,no elegance

Pia's emerald terno from yesterday & this pink/white ensemble, are both hideous.

Pia's pink terno looks like vanilla-strawberry ice cream sprinkled with nuts.

@mrsunlawyer horrendous gown. Something you would want to un-see! Sayang. Ganda pa naman ni Pia :(

IMHO, despite comparisons to ice cream, cotton candy, and every imaginable dessert out there, that pink terno was, ultimately, just an accessory that did nothing to dull her glow. You know she owned that dress. She was beaming. She was confident. And it certainly showed.
