Bagani star Sofia Andres took to Twitter to thank those people who stood behind her amidst controversies concerning her professional attitude and behavior. She wrote, "I'm thankful for all those people who defended me. I felt special for a moment, especially our two directors from Bagani, and of course Liza [Soberano]. Today is a new start for everyone. Maraming salamat po."
In a press conference, the cast and directors of the primetime series touched on topics about Sofia's work ethics. As stated in her tweet, lead actress Liza came to Sofia's defense and focused on Sofia's shyness often getting misinterpreted for unpleasant behavior. Liza shared, "I think the misconception with Sofia kasi is she's very shy. Like, even in our set, we play together, a lot of us. Pero siya, nahihiya siya, sa corner lang siya. Parang kami, we really have to grab her to play with us. I think siguro her upbringing in her house."
Liza then asked Sofia onstage, "'Di ba, you're the middle child?" Bagani lead actor Enrique Gil then interjected, "Ako, middle child din ako." Liza then quipped, "But no, 'yon nga, mahiyain."
The show's directors, Richard Arellano and Lester Pimentel also shared observations about Sofia's professionalism on the set of the fantasy series. Direk Richard said, "Parang anak lang na tinuturuan mo nang tamang bagay. Cooperative naman si Sofia."
Direk Lester also said, "Kapag tinitingnan mo si Sofia, kapag tinitingnan mo siya, mahinhin. Pero kapag nasa take na o nasa shoot, she does everything. So far, we didn't use any double for her. Kahit na gaano kahirap, gaano kapagod, she never says no, very, very professional."
