Also known as the SongSong Couple, they fell in love with each other after leading the hit drama, Descendants Of The Sun. It's been two years since their separation and although some shippers have already moved on, others are still hopeful—and they found an interesting pattern in the Hallyu queen's Instagram posts.
Last Sunday, September 19, Joong Ki celebrated his 36th birthday. Although he did not post anything on his own IG account, his agency, History D&C, uploaded a birthday greeting for him.
On the same day, Hye Kyo posted a photo of the sea on her Instagram but without any captions. Comments have also been limited on this post.
Others may think that this is a coincidence but for some SongSong fans, they believe that it's a way of Hye Kyo low-key greeting her ex-husband. Last September 19, 2020 (Joong Ki's 35th birthday), Hye Kyo also took to Instagram and uploaded a photo of the sky.
SongSong shippers have expressed their ~*feelings*~ for the two on social media, with tweets like "I'm crying for the nth time today" and "Still hoping for NamLee and SongSong couple's comeback."
