You know how Lost actress Evangeline Lilly recently declared that she wouldn't be self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic, despite the fact that it could literally save lives? Yeah, well, among those deeply unimpressed by that line of thinking appears to be Sophie Turner.
The actress (who's pregnant with her first child) hit Instagram and wrote, "Here's the tea. Stay inside. Don't be f*cking stupid, even if you count your freedom over...I don't know what is it, your health." She continued, "I don't give a F about your freedom. You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this. So stay inside, guys. It's not cool and it's not big and it's not clever. And that's the tea."
While Sophie didn't name names, people seem to be connecting her specific mention of "freedom" to Evangeline's comments. The Lost actress defended her position, saying, "Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu. It's unnerving…Let's be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious—keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don't abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power...I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices."
Erm. The problem here is that choosing "freedom" and going outside puts literally everyone else at risk. So gonna go ahead and reiterate what Sophie said: STAY! INSIDE!
