Mugunghwa kkoci pieot seumnida: Netflix just *officially* announced the second season of Squid Game!
On their social media accounts, the streaming giant posted a teaser video and photo of the sequel featuring the ~creepy~ motion-sensing doll, Younghee.

Along with the sneak peek, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong Hyuk also wrote a message where he thanked the fans of the drama. He also shared the details we should look forward to in the sophomore season. Dong Hyuk PD-nim (an honorific used for producer-slash-directors in South Korea!) said that Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) and the Front Man (Lee Byung Hun) will definitely make their ~comeback~. Additionally, the man with ddakji (folder paper tiles)—aka Gong Yoo—might also return!

Another *surprise* in store for us: Younghee has a boyfriend named Cheolsu and he will be shown in Squid Game 2!

The premiere date for the hit series' sequel is not yet finalized but Dong Hyuk PD-nim predicts that it can happen either by the end of 2023 or early 2024.
You can watch season one of Squid Game on Netflix.
