A study conducted by researchers from the University of California and the University of New Mexico has revealed that women prefer a slightly larger penis when it comes to one-time sexual partners compared to long-term partners.
The study, which had 75 women ages 18 to 65 as participants, seems to suggest that size matters more in a one-night stand.
"Researchers provided the participants with 33 different-sized 3D penis models made of rigid, odorless, blue plastic (they were blue 'to minimize racial skin-color cues') to choose from," reports Mona Chalabi in the Guardian.
By contrast, for a one-time sexual partner, the women preferred a penis that's 6.4 inches long with a 5-inch circumference.
The preferences for the long-term partner and the hook-up partner show that the penis women look for are slightly larger than the average penis size. According to an analysis of 15,000 phalluses published last year, the average erect penis is 5.2 inches long and 4.6 inches in circumference.
