If you want to experience the city Taylor Swift was singing about in "Welcome to New York," there are few better ways to do it than to actually live in the singer's former abode in downtown Manhattan.
That's right: For the totally affordable price of $24.5 million, T-Swift's Greenwich Village rental apartment—which she moved into last June while her TriBeCa townhouse was undergoing renovations—can now officially be yours. Luxury Listings NYC reports that the dreamy, 5,400-square-foot home hit the market earlier this month via Deborah Grubman, Laurence Carty, and Markus Buchmeier at Corcoran—and if you happen to be a global superstar (or just a multimillionaire), it seems like it's worth every penny.
Originally constructed as a carriage house in 1912, the townhouse has since been renovated into a five-bedroom, five-bathroom, and two-half-bathroom dream home, complete with an indoor pool, private garage, an elevator, and three functional fireplaces. It also happens to be on one of the hippest streets in New York, with easy access to just about everything.
Of course, while all of that good stuff is absolutely incredible, the real selling point here is the fact that you'll get to live where Taylor Swift once lived. And who knows? Maybe the apartment inspired her to write a few new songs that have yet to be released into the universe—which would definitely take the cake for notable "apartment features."
If you're dying to get your hands on this New York City sanctuary, or just want to find out more, you can check out Corcoran's full listing for the property right here.
