After all the Twitter ruckus that he got involved in, Teddy Locsin Jr.—veteran journalist and Philippine ambassador to the United Nations—has been reined in by his daughters.
Locsin revealed in a series of tweets posted on October 5 that his daughters have told him to "stay out of Twitter."
OK, my daughters called to say Stay out of Twitter. Just when I am so sweet and considerate and politely open to discussion. Sad.

I am left with Twitter only on my one and only 5 year old Macbook Air, my daughter deleted it from my brandnew IPhone6, latest. Why do I

Later on, though, Locsin seemed to be back on Twitter with a dash of his classic gadfly antics. In a series of tweets posted on October 6, he apologized to the Jewish people—and made it clear he was saying sorry "only to them" and nobody else.
I apologize to the Jews, and to the memory of those who died in the Holocaust, for any offense I gave them, but only to them.

I apologize for my casual references to the Holocaust, which was the greatest evil ever visited on mankind.

I am sorry for my strong language, but it is unavoidable given the mendacity of those I fight. I cannot be other than myself.

Curiously enough, on October 7, Locsin once again tweeted an apology—and this time it was for all of his Twitter followers.
I apologize to my 415K friends on Twitter, whose company I treasure and have tried to earn with always intelligent, if often, sharp remarks.

For the record, as of 9 p.m. on Friday, October 7, Locsin already has 417,000 Twitter friends. So maybe his apology tweets won him new fans?
