10 Thai Remakes Of Korean Dramas And Movies To Add To Your Watch List


Just like us Pinoys, it seems like Thailand is obsessed with Korean dramas and movies! Over the years, there have been many Thai adaptations of K-content, adding different twists to already familiar stories. Who can blame them? K-dramas are sooo addictive. Here, we compiled a list of remakes that might pique your interest: 


1. Classic Again (2020) 

OG movie: The Classic (2003) starring Son Ye Jin, Jo Seung Woo, and Jo In Sung

The premise: A student finds memorabilia connected to her mother's love story, which strangely parallels her own romance!

2. Suddenly 20 (2016)

OG movie: Miss Granny (2014) starring Shim Eun Kyung

The premise: When a *grumpy* grandma is suddenly transformed back to her 20-year-old self, she decides to take this chance to live her best life.

3. Unlucky Ploy (2020) 

OG drama: Another Miss Oh (2016) starring Seo Hyun JinJeon Hye Bin, and Eric Mun

The plot: According to Netflix, "a man becomes mired in the lives of two women who happen to share the same name."

4. Oh My Ghost (2018) 

OG drama: Oh My Ghost (2015) starring Park Bo Young, Jo Jung Suk, and Kim Seul Gi

The plot: A shy assistant chef is possessed by the soul of a virgin ghost who is determined to seduce men before moving on to the afterlife.

5. Who Are You (2020) 

OG drama: Who Are You: School 2015 (2015) starring Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Yook Sung Jae

The plot: This drama tells the story of twins who live totally different lives in different cities—one is bullied while the other is popular.

6. My Love From Another Star (2019) 

OG drama: My Love From The Star (2013) starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun 

The plot: An alien who's been stuck on Earth for hundreds of years meets an actress who's connected to his past. He's faced with a tough decision when he falls for her, just months away from his scheduled return to his home planet.

7. Secret Garden (2019)

OG drama: Secret Garden (2010) starring Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won

The plot: An "arrogant" CEO and a struggling stuntwoman who don't really get along magically switch bodies! Crazy Little Thing Called Love star Baifern is this series' leading lady. 

8. Autumn In My Heart (2013) 

OG drama: Autumn In My Heart (2000) starring Song Seung Heon and Song Hye Kyo

The plot: Two children who grew up as siblings are separated. They reunite years later and fall in love, but it seems like everyone is determined to stop their romance. 

9. Coffee Prince (2012) 

OG drama: Coffee Prince (2007) starring Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo

The plot: A girl pretends to be a boy and starts working at a coffee shop, but she ends up falling for its owner!

10. Princess Hours (2017) 

OG drama: Princess Hours/Goong (2006) starring Ju Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye

The plot: A normal student finds out that she's been promised to marry the Crown Prince. What starts as an arranged marriage becomes a love story in this version that's set in a fictional country called Bhutin
