It's Offish: Lee Min Ho's New Drama 'The King: Eternal Monarch' Is Coming To Netflix

For those of us who have been excitedly waiting for Lee Min Ho's small screen comeback, here's some awesome news—we will be able to watch The King: Eternal Monarch in less than a month! And in even better news: It will be available for streaming on Netflix Philippines in April 2020. 

The show is a romantic fantasy drama that will revolve around "the relationships of people from two parallel universes." According to the streaming site, Emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) is a king who seeks to seal the gateway between dimensions while Detective Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go Eun) works as a police inspector who simply wants to protect other people's lives.

The King: Eternal Monarch marks Lee Min Ho's reunion with actress Kim Young Ok, who will be playing the role of the palace lady who raised Lee Gon after he lost his parents at a young age.  

The show is written by Kim Eun Sook, who previously worked on the dramas Goblin and Descendants Of The Sun, and is directed by Baek Sang Hoon and Jeong Jee Hyun. The show also stars Woo Do Hwan, Kim Kyung Nam, and Jung Eun Chae.

Lee Min Ho got discharged from mandatory military service on April 25, 2019. His last drama before this was Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016), where he starred opposite Jun Ji Hyun
