Tom Rodriguez has officially ended his Instagram hiatus, but his latest uploads have been a hot topic among his concerned fans.
Recently, Tom posted not one but *two* cryptic posts, fueling speculation.
First, he shared a photo of hands breaking free from shackles on IG Stories. There was no caption and Tom has also deleted this post.
He then posted a photo of a mushroom cloud on his feed. Again, there was no caption to provide context.
Netizens believe Tom's posts might have something to do with rumors circulating that his wife Carla Abellana is preparing to file for annulment.
On May 26, showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin uploaded a vlog wherein she referred to the issue.
"Si Carla Abellana pala nagpapahanda ng mga dokumento ng annulment," Cristy told her co-hosts.
"At si Carla nagpapatayo ng sariling bahay," she added.
Following their wedding in October 2021, Tom reportedly unfollowed and re-followed Carla on IG in January 2022, sparking separation rumors. As if to deny the stories, Tom even declared his love for his wife on the platform, but in the weeks that followed, eagle-eyed netizens noticed Carla liking a cheater comment on one of Tom Rodriguez's posts.
In March, Carla announced that she was selling her luxe condo unit. In the same month, her dad, actor Rey "PJ" Abellana, told Cristy in an interview that Tom had reportedly had a one-night stand, a claim he backpedalled on a few days after. About a week later, Tom deactivated his IG.
Tom's break from social media took over two months. He has also unfollowed Carla on IG.
