The newly minted parents announced the arrival of their healthy bundle of joy, Leandro Gabunada, on Tricia's Instagram page, accompanied by a photo of their adorable quarantine baby.
"Leo's finally home. Our little fighter Leandro Gabunada was born 04-11-20 via emergency CS. The past two days have been a whirlwind of emotions, but we wouldn't have it any other way," her post reads.
Amid the constant worries brought upon by the current COVID-19 pandemic, just days before Leo's birth, Tricia revealed her thoughts on not having her loving husband by her side during the operation. "I had to come to terms that my husband will not be able to be with me during labor and delivery. As a first-time mom, the thought is truly daunting, but I realize that I'm not going to be 100% alone. I trust in our frontliners completely!"
It seems Tricia's faith in our medical frontliners paid off as they safely delivered a gift of hope for the couple during these trying times.
A fashion inspiration for mothers-to-be, Tricia first revealed the pregnancy news in October 2019 at 14 weeks in. Since then, the founder of local label Hinhin has proudly documented her baby's progress on her Instagram page all while remaining perfectly stylish to boot. "Just because you're pregnant, doesn't mean you have to throw your personal style out the window and start dressing like the image of a mom in your head," said Tricia in an interview with Preview. "It's easy to feel like your body isn't your own anymore, but fashion is one thing that you can always control."
Congratulations, Tricia and RG!
