You Have To Watch Vietnam's Popular 'Coronavirus Dance' Based On A Public Service Announcement

It's so catchy it's now a hit TikTok dance challenge!

There's a TikTok dance challenge that's all the rage now in Vietnam, and it's not the usual kind you'll see on your feed.

Choreographer, pianist, and actor Quang Dang actually got so inspired by a Vietnamese coronavirus PSA that he made up a series of dance moves that quickly made the rounds on TikTok.

Quang Dang explained in his post how the video features the six handwashing moves based on the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The dance challenge got super popular that it was even featured on Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.

"It absolutely slaps!" commented John Oliver. "That's a genuine club-banger right there!"

Here's the original PSA song entitled "Ghen Co Vy", written by Khac Hung in partnership with the National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health, that sparked the now-famous "coronavirus dance" challenge. It was based on a hit pop song called "Ghen" by artists ERIK and MIN.  

We'll probably be humming this song (and trying the dance moves, too) for a while. So LSS material!
