Xian Lim just added another feather to his cap. Aside from being an actor and a director, Xian is now a certified ice skater!
Xian, who has been taking ice skating lessons for four months with his coach, Ronan Capili, shared the struggles that he had to go through as he learned a new sport. In his Instagram Reel, Xian admitted that learning a new sport at his age wasn't easy but with the perseverance and the support he received, he kept going.
Xian wrote in the caption of his post, "I finally got to take the Pre Alpha-Delta Test (I'm always nervous about taking tests) skating on ice is pure bliss."
"Watching other skaters with years of experience, the initial reaction is, 'Wow, this is impossible for me to learn.' But to want something you never had, you have to do something you've never done," Xian wrote.
Xian dedicated the last part of his message to his coach and added, "Salamat ng marami for the patience and the enthusiasm to teach me coach @47ronan. To more countless hours on ice. (At sa pakikiusap sa students mo to have their slot.)"
In several of his earlier Instagram posts, Xian documented what it was like getting his first ice skates and practicing some of his dance moves on the rink.
Among those who congratulated Xian on his new achievement were Rita Avila, Bela Padilla, and his mom, Maryanne, who wrote, "Huge congrats, Xian! Skating becomes YOU!"
