Fungal Toxins Found In Nagaraya!

Oh no! One of our favorite snacks has been contaminated.

If you are munching on a bag of Nagaraya Cracker Nuts right now, STOP.

It has been reported by the Food and Drugs Association (FDA) that a batch of Nagaraya Cracker Nuts has been recalled by its manufacturers for containing an "unacceptable" level of aflatoxin—a fungal toxin that contaminates maize and other types of crops during harvest and production. The FDA is also monitoring other peanut-based products to ensure that they are not contaminated.

According to the US Center of Disease Control and Prevention, exposure to aflatoxin may cause both chronic and acute hepatocellular injury (liver complications). It can also lead to liver failure and death. Yikes!
