Do you ever wish you can just bring your abs back in an instant, preferably looking like FKA Twigs’? While you can’t always get what you want, you can certainly work hard for it. Here are some easy routines you can do in 10 minutes tops that you can easily squeeze in your tamad lifestyle.
The Morning Routine
Get your heart pumping hard early in the morning by doing one straight set of 50 jumping jacks. Follow that up with 15 reps each of squats, push-ups, arm dips, and crunches. Do these three times. Your morning shower will be the best reward you can get immediately after for it.
No More Flabby Belly
Belly dancing is a great core exercise that not only effectively sculpts your abs, but also helps you learn some great moves you can show off on the dance floor. Don’t just do random hip-shaking moves, though. Follow basic belly dancing routines like the figure eight moves (both horizontal and vertical), the camel (wherein you arch your spine as you press your chest forward and put up your shoulders and arms at the side), and the ever-famous belly roll.
The 10-Minute Bike-a-Thon
If you have a stationary bike at home, you can spend as little as 10 minutes on it to lose some of those unwanted pounds. Using the Tabata method, bike as hard as you can for two minutes, and then go easy for a full minute alternatively. Make sure you don’t get those feet off the pedal! Keep pushing it until you reach 10 minutes. You can even challenge yourself by setting a distance goal for you to achieve in that amount of time.
The Metabolism Booster
Time to make good use out of the exercise mat and dumbbells that are collecting dust under your bed! You can do a repetition of metabolic biking for two minutes, followed by diagonal clean and press using the dumbbell for another two minutes. Do these two exercises for another set before ending with an explosive jump for the final two minutes.
The Office Break
Sometimes it simply can’t be helped—you’re stuck at work and that’s that. However, you can still squeeze in a 10-minute workout even from behind your desk. Your chair is already a good tool to help you do your arm dips and parallels. You can even do leg presses and curls while sitting down. Your boss won’t have to know you’re taking some time off from that report you’re writing.
Remember, the important thing is that you keep at it consistently. Before you know it, you’ll be looking to up the intensity of your workouts.
