With just a couple of weeks before a new decade begins, you better believe gyms are ~extra~ happy because membership inquiries are coming in. You know how it goes: There usually isn't an available treadmill in sight in January, but by March, the numbers start to dwindle. We don't want you to lose that *fire* so here are some quotes you need to save to remind yourself that your fitness should be a priority all year round.

  1. "[I'm like] a fighter, going into the ring. I do my cardio and I do my workouts with the Tracy Anderson Method. Sometimes, when I get home and I'm not feeling so great, I make myself go to the gym. Then I come home and take a shower, put on a great outfit, some makeup, tie my hair up, and I feel pepped up and great about myself." -Jennifer Lopez
  2. "I really enjoy actually training. I like the focus of it, I like the mental side of it and I like running. I like when it's warm, if I can just hit a city block or hit a block, it gives me something to really concentrate on. And it's time alone, so I really like that a lot." -Alicia Keys
  3. "Personally, I love the gym. I love being around people who are sweaty and pushing themselves, who are all focused on the same goals. I love being in a group like that." -Cameron Diaz
  4. "Working out for me is something I do when I feel like it. But it’s really about feeling good and taking care of my body rather than having to fit into any sort of model or anything like that. I try to eat well, and everything I do is really just to make me feel my best." -Lea Michele
  5. "I think that whatever size or shape body you have, it's important to embrace it and get down! The female body is something that's so beautiful. I wish women would be proud of their bodies and not diss other women for being proud of theirs!" -Christina Aguilera

  6. "After a workout, I'm sweaty and red, but I love the way it makes my body feel. Sometimes I'll go really hard, sweat balls and can hardly walk. Other times, I'll just not really be feeling that, and I'll do some more abs or Pilates-style moves. Consistency is the key, though. What works for me is squats as heavy as possible, lunges, leg presses, skipping. It's very much a mixture of heavy weightlifting and HIIT. But it's difficult and I'm careful not to recommend my program to others. I do this type of training because it works for me and my bodyI love this kind of training, and I like the way it makes me feel and the way it works for my shape." -Iskra Lawrence

  7. "I do a lot of weight training, deadlifts, and weighted squats. I think a lot of women are intimidated by the big weights, but if you ask for help or do it with a friend, it all becomes much more fun. To a lot of people, 'in shape' means having the perfect body. But to me, being in shape means feeling healthy within your own body." -Louise Thompson
  8. "I do a lot of things with little weights—like, I'll put on a song that I really like and I'll do [bicep curls with] five-pound weights for the duration of the song and just try to burn out." -Beyonce
  9. "My fitness journey will be a life-long journey. Fitness is not about being better than someone else...It's about being better than you used to be. I'm not where I want to be, and who knows if I ever will be. But I am healthier than ever, and due to my consistent workouts, I am slowly seeing results." -Khloe Kardashian
  10. "I love yoga, and that's all I used to do. But hardcore workouts have really made a big difference in my life. I have a lot of internal energy, and intense exercise helps me channel that energy. I find balance by doing a workout that makes me pour sweat. I never was that girl before, but I am now." -Kate Beckinsale
  11. "Sometimes I do sprint intervals just because I hate working out. Anything where I have to do something but I can get my mind off of doing it, that's so much better for me than anything that's repetitive. Or the music has to be loud and I have to be moving." -Jessica Alba
