Life doesn’t always imitate art—sometimes, it takes a completely opposite turn! Take it from The Glory baddie Lim Ji Yeon, who has now been named an honorary police officer in South Korea.
While her character Park Yeon-jin in the hit Netflix K-drama might have been sentenced to serve time, her real-life counterpart finds herself on a different side of the story.
On May 30, the National Police Agency of South Korea appointed the 32-year-old actress as an honorary police officer and a goodwill ambassador, who’s tasked to amplify the country’s campaigns against drug crimes.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Ji Yeon will helm the promotion of major policies and security campaigns for the next two years. On the same day of her appointment, the actress also shot a video for the drug prevention campaign titled NO EXIT.

“It is an honor to be named an honorary police officer and ambassador for preventing drug crimes,” the actress said during the ceremony at Seoul Police Office in Seodaemun-gu, as translated by the news agency. “I will put in my utmost effort into fulfilling my responsibility and mission.”

Congrats, Ji Yeon!
