As an actor, we've seen Park Hyung Sik appear in several different projects: a fantasy romcom, a drama where he plays a lawyer, a couple of sageuk dramas, and of course portraying a doctor in his upcoming K-drama Doctor Slump! "I think this is the drama I relate to the most, and I laughed too much while filming it." But what role would he like to try next? "Recently, I watched a series called Moving. While watching it, I thought it would be great if I could try to be a person with a superpower."
Having been an actor for more than 10 years, we wondered—which of the characters he's portrayed is closest to how he is in real life? Well, according to PHS himself "every character that I actually acted as during my projects somehow portrays my character in parts." But when pressed about the *most* relatable character, the actor chose Ahn Min Hyuk from Strong Girl Do Bong-soon. "He has my personality...because the way that he jokes around portrays myself when I am with my friends." Now we know what Hyung Sik is like around the rest of the Wooga Squad!
His last visit to the Philippines was in 2019, so what is the actor looking forward to most concerning his upcoming fan meet? "As some of you may know, I really love scuba diving," he shared. "I heard that the Philippines is actually the best spot for scuba diving...so if there is an opportunity given to me, I would likely visit those places as well."
Hyung Sik has fond memories of his time spent in the Philippines. "The fans are very passionate," he immediately recalled. "The food was really nice, [and] the weather was perfect as well." Surprisingly, the actor revealed that he felt reluctant to return to Korea! "I've had good memories of the Philippines." We hope this means plenty of future visits—perhaps with the rest of the Wooga Squad?
If given the chance to have a vacation anywhere in the world, the Philippines is part of Hyung Sik's list. "There are many islands that I could visit. I could try fishing, scuba diving...I would like to try to spend a long holiday in the Philippines." Wouldn't it be cool to spot Park Hyung Sik at the beach?
