'50 Over 50' is a list that celebrates 50 personalities aged 50 and above who have exerted effort, hard work, and grit in their respective industries. Among those industries are film, fashion, pharma, finance, and more. Forbes calls the listed personalities founders, CEOs, and innovators of new trends and developments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Five Filipina women were among the 50 amazing people who had a significant global impact in their respective fields of expertise.

1. Miriam Coronel-Ferrer
Miriam Coronel-Ferrer is a retired professor at the University of the Philippines. Forbes recognized her as a frontliner during the country's fight against martial law in the 1970s. Since then she has been a key figure in peace talks in the country, participating in the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro. She is also one of the founders of the Southeast Asian Women Peace Mediators. One of her beliefs as stated by Forbes is that women "would have a direct impact" on the lives of everyone involved in peace talks.
2. Esther Go
For nearly twenty years, Esther Go has been at the forefront of the health-tech industry in the Philippines. Her firm, MediLink has been connecting more than 200,000 physicians to more than two million patients nationwide. The company aims to assist patients in connecting to a suitable insurer and healthcare provider for their medical needs. Aside from this, Esther is also affiliated with some banks in the Philippines.
3. Anna Ma. Margarita Dy
It was only recently when Anna Ma. Margarita Dy took over the position to lead the second-largest property developer in the Philippines, Ayala Land. Even before becoming CEO, Anna has been focused on developing various housing projects in the country.
4. Dolly De Leon
Dolly De Leon surely made waves in the entertainment industry for her remarkable performance in the 2022 film, Triangle of Sadness. With the film, she became the first Filipino nominated for a Golden Globe and a British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards. Moreover, Dolly is hailed as the first Filipino to be a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Forbes noted that Dolly achieved the abovementioned while "juggling her role as a single mother of four." At present, Dolly is set to release more movies this year and a much-awaited Hulu series together with Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman.
5. Susan Co
Puregold co-owner is also included in Forbes '50 Over 50.' Susan Co who co-founded one of the most affordable supermarket chains in the country has become an icon in the retail industry. Forbes noted that the retail store has put up 14 additional branches just in the year 2023.
