Studying abroad is usually just a dream for many students, especially since tuition fees in other countries are usually more expensive to fees in the Philippines. It's not entirely unattainable for Pinoys to fulfill their dreams of getting education overseas, however. Governments of other countries usually launch scholarship programs to give foreigners a chance to study abroad.
One such opportunity is the Stipendium Hungaricum, a scholarship program founded by the Hungarian Government, supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation. The Stipendium Hungaricum is currently accepting interested students for S.Y. 2021-20212 who want to pursue bachelor, master, and doctoral studies in fields like agriculture and sustainable development, medicine, natural sciences, and architecture, among others.
Provisions of the program
Through the program, accepted students will receive:
- Free tuition
- Monthly stipend equal to around 120 Euros (around P7,000) for bachelor's and master's degrees and around 390 Euros (around P22,700) for doctoral degrees, for 12 months
- Free accommodation in a student dormitory OR a monthly accommodation stipend equal to HUF 40,000 or P6,500 a month
