Even Victoria's Secret Models Feel Self-Conscious In Bikinis Sometimes

Behati Prinsloo and Alessandra Ambrosio talk body image (and date night).

Supermodels Behati Prinsloo and Alessandra Ambrosio, two faces of Victoria's Secret and stars of the brand's annual fashion show, confessed that even they feel uncomfortable in bikinis. "Oh yeah!" Prinsloo said at a recent Victoria's Secret Swim event in New York. "Certain types of swimsuits, especially if it's, you know, a certain time of the month, or when I just haven't been working out or something. I definitely feel self-conscious if the bikini is too small or kind of digs into my sides. There are definitely times."

Ambrosio agreed: "Especially after a big meal. We Brazilians have these big barbeques with lots of meat and they're super heavy, and the last thing you want to show is your stomach. That's when you go for a one-piece."

When they're not posing in bikinis for Victoria's Secret, Prinsloo and Ambrosio like to spend time with their significant others. "[Adam Levine] and I have date nights, but I'm really low-key," Prinsloo said. "I like to do things with groups of friends. It doesn't necessarily have to be just the two of us. I love just going to a restaurant with a group of friends and just hanging out until we basically close down the restaurant."

"My fiancé [Jamie Mazur] and I like to go to yoga together," Ambrosio said. "Then maybe sushi after that. We try to do that once a week. When we have time we'll go for a nice dinner, but these days we'll usually just stay home with the kids, but we're usually asleep before them."
