Are You Finally Going To Bake Banana Bread? Try These 6 Easy Recipes

If you are baking for the first time, there is always a recipe that you turn to that is simple, tasty, and easy to make. Banana bread recipes have a reputation of being easy to make, plus, it uses easy ingredients and bananas that you might think should be tossed out rather than used in a recipe. 

Those overripe bananas are perfect for making into banana bread! However, if you have bananas that are not quite ripe enough that you want to use, you might have to wait a day or three before it is overripe.

Not eager to wait? You can do two things to speed up the ripening process: 

  1. Mash it with a little calamansi or lemon juice if your bananas are ripe enough for eating but not yet overripe. Then, let it sit, about an hour, to become sweeter. 
  2. Bake it until softened. Bake bananas in a preheated 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) oven for about five to seven minutes. The blackened skins hide the now sweetened and softened bananas. Let cool before using it.
