I have read somewhere that the cost of buying fancy coffee every day can accumulate, and I did agree. I remember I was spending P250 daily on coffee alone (including a pastry sometimes). So, during the hard lockdowns, I became obsessed with building my home cafe. Boy, was I in for the funniest surprise of my life. Ang gastos mag-brewdol!
Anyway, fast forward to two years and I'm still in the same rabbit hole. I've invested in a capsule coffee machine (I like to have my coffee in seconds), many a French press (some got broken, RIP), lots of beans, syrups, and milk cartons. I've also watched a lot of ~aesthetic~ home café vlogs, so I got inspired to venture out from my usual caramel iced latte recipe. I'm ready to upgrade my brewdol goods and try other drink recipes, especially on 9.9, when everything has slashed prices. Here are the items on my wishlist.
Items I Want For My Home Café
Good Cup Daily Driver Coffee Beans
A coffee nook will never be complete without beans. The huge discount is enough for me to add to cart!
Good Cup Daily Driver Coffee Beans, P411 (Original price: P500)
Honey Lemon Tea
A spoonful of this plus lots of ice water makes an ultra-refreshing drink.
Honey Citron Tea, P297 (Orig. price: P334)
Honey Citron Tea, P282 (Orig. price: P334)
My body cannot digest dairy at all so I had to be open to trying plant-based milk. Almond milk was my go-to before, but I find that oat milk lends a creamy flavor and texture. Lattes taste so much better!
Natrue Oat Milk Drink 1 Liter, P62 (Orig price: P129)
Minor Figures Organic Oat Milk Buy 1, Take 1 1L, P350
Coffee Bean Grinder
A friend is slowly convincing me to try freshly ground beans when making pour-over coffee. Investing in an excellent grinder is the first step. (I already have a hand-me-down coffee scale, yay).
TIMEMORE Chestnut C2 Manual Coffee Bean Grinder, P2,200 (Orig price: P3,000)
The dream for someone who wants espresso drinks without the technical stuff.
Breville Bambino Plus, P25,599 (Original price: P30,000)
