Taiwan is known for its delicious eats, but one of the country's most iconic dishes is beef noodle soup. You'd be hard-pressed to find a local restaurant that doesn't serve it. But Niu Ba Ba is on another level; loosely translated, Niu Ba Ba means "Cow Daddy," and the name fits!
Owner Chef Wang Cong-yuan serves a bowl of beef noodle priced at 10,000 New Taiwan dollars (or P16,800).
Called the "Presidential Beef Noodle Soup," it's the most expensive bowl on the menu (they have eight beef noodle soups in total).
Chef Wang Cong-yuan told Next Shark, "The noodle soup you got requires three layers of broth [from six different types of stock]." Each layer is made separately and "is distilled from beef bone, tendons and tenderloin." That's not even the best part, though. Every bowl has meat imported from the U.S., Japan, Australia, and Brazil.
Oh, and it's served on a $600 gold-plated bowl...
