Fried chicken comes in a couple different variations around the world, but the Korean style ranks pretty high up as one of the best. It delivers a fierier, more umami bite than regular ol' Western fried chicken, making it a fast fave among lovers of real flava. Now ICYDK, Shake Shack actually makes great fried chicken, which is best had in the form of their signature fried chicken sandwich, the Chick'n Shack (it finished third in Spot's Top 10 Fried-Chicken Sandwich list!). So we couldn't be more excited that they're coming out with a Korean-inspired version is available for a limited time starting today, September 27!

Dubbed the Gochujang Chik'n (P275), Shake Shack's Korean-style chicken sandwich is a spicy-sweet number that combines a gochujang-glazed crispy chicken breast fillet, a crisp white kimchi slaw, and nutty sesame seeds in soft buns that balance out the fillings' punchy flavors. For a more straightforward Korean-style chicken fix, you can also try the Gochujang Chik'n Bites (P215/six pieces, P265/10 pieces), or crispy bites made with white-meat chicken and served with a gochujang-mayo sauce that gives each helping a welcome dose of sweetness and heat.
Don't forget the sides! Your best bet, of course, is to pair your sandwich or bites with the Korean Gochujang Fries (P205), which gives you even more umami: It's got their crinkle-cut fries with their own gochujang sauce. And for a cool and sweet sip, try the Black Sugar Shake (P210) that's got their vanilla frozen custard with deep, caramel-like black sugar, topped with whipped cream and black sugar syrup!
