Aside from binge-watching K-dramas on streaming services, I always go to YouTube whenever I want to unwind after a long day at work. This platform has a variety of content that I'm totally obsessed with, like K-pop music videos and life in South Korea clips. And if I want something even more relaxing, I visit the YouTube channels of my favorite Korean coffee shop vloggers.
These YouTubers either work at their own cafes or at other coffee shops. They show their day as baristas and how they serve drinks and desserts—from baking cakes to preparing orders for takeout. I swear, their videos are soooo satisfying (and addicting) that I didn't notice I've already spent 2.5 hours watching them! I have also added their cafes to my list of must-visit places in South Korea and once you watch their vlogs, I bet you will do this, too.
Here are five Korean coffee shop vloggers that you should subscribe to on YouTube:
1. Zoe's
Zoe works at Cafe Bless Roll, a franchise coffee shop in Pyeongtaek owned by her mom. In her vlogs, you'll not only see her whipping up blueberry lattes but also delivering P50,000 worth of cakes to a customer! What I love seeing in Zoe's videos are the pretty and delicious-looking roll cakes, rainbow cakes, and ice cream that their cafe is famous for. The subtitles are fun and relatable, too! She also uploads other content like cooking vlogs at home, so there's always something new to look forward to on her channel.
2. cafeslave jun
I have been watching Jun's vlogs since 2019 and I saw how he was able to grow his business, goodsimplecafe, into a bustling one. He bakes pastries from scratch, brews coffee, manages the payments, cleans the coffee shop—phew, what a busy day! Jun's cafe has its well-loved menu mainstays but he also comes up with new ~experiments~, which sometimes depend on the season and availability of ingredients.
3. Nebokgom
One look at Nebokgom's vlogs and you'll find yourself totally *immersed* by the appetizing pastries that look like they came straight out of a baking cookbook! I mean, quirky Halloween desserts and luscious sweet potato bread that looks like...an actual sweet potato? I'm in! Subscribe to this YouTube channel if you're into aesthetic stuff, or if you plan to channel your inner baking queen in the kitchen.
4. LATTE PAPA
Trust me when I say that LATTE PAPA's cafe vlogs have a certain appeal—like you can smell the freshly brewed coffee even if you're just watching from your screen. Maybe it's the distinct video editing style, the waffles that will make your mouth water, the homey vibe of the clips, or all of the above. You'll also spot a cute pet dog in the vlogs so go ahead and click that notification bell to brighten your day!
5. ttoyo
Vibrant and colorful drinks, anyone? ttoyo's cafe vlogs will put hearts in your eyes as she makes drinks and desserts in detail! She adds leaves as garnishes in fruit beverages for that ~fancy~ touch and bakes cookies with *super* cute designs. Her YouTube channel has diverse content for you to enjoy, and contains videos of her previous workplace and her new cafe job.
