Celebrate The Life And Genius Of Leonardo Da Vinci In A Series Of Cultural Activities From November 13 to 21

It's the Italian polymath's 500th death anniversary.

Leonardo da Vinci is an icon of the Renaissance period. In celebration of the artist’s 500th death anniversary, the Philippine Italian Association, the Italian Embassy, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce will be hosting several events around the metro to commemorate the life and genius of the Italian polymath.

November 13, 7:00 p.m. - The Last Supper

Caruso Ristorante Italiano, Makati

A Renaissance-inspired dinner is the highlight of the evening which will present the story behind da Vinci’s famous painting, “The Last Supper.” The themed menu will be concocted by Emilio Mina.

November 14, 9:00 a.m. - Cook-Off With Leonardo

Lyceum Culinary Institute

A Renaissance cooking contest joined by teams from Lyceum University, St. Scholastica’s College, and Natural University. The activity will be curated and led by Chef Salvatore Arria.

November 19, 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - Movie Presentation: Being Leonardo da Vinci, an impossible interview

FDCP Cinematheque Center Manila

Being Leonardo da Vinci, an impossible interview will present da Vinci’s sets and works of art. The film is directed by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory.

November 20, 2:00 p.m - Being Leonardo da Vinci, A Masterclass by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory

CCP Dream Theatre, Cultural Center of the Philippines

A free masterclass that showcases the cinematic techniques by conjugating topics like art and science, memory and imagination, tradition and technology, and theater and cinema.
