Anytime is a great time for a vacation, but when you're overworked and busy paying off your first car or condo, the idea of spending so much on a trip just adds to the stress. But who says you need to spend a lot for some R&R? Remember, roughing it up could be half the fun!
Here are some out of town vacation ideas under P2,500.00 that you can try:
For a budget weekend getaway at the beach, head over to Crystal Beach Resort in San Narciso, Zambales. It only takes around P300 to get from Cubao to San Narciso and another P15 for a tricycle ride to the resort. Renting out a tent with a mat and pillow plus entrance fee is only around P500. They have a wide array of facilities and things to do from playing sports to just chilling in the beach. You can make this a trip for two and still spend just close to P2,500.
Have you always wanted to try surfing? The waves in Baler during the “ber” months are just perfect and ideal for beginners to get a feel of real waves. For P500, you can already travel to Baler by bus. Tricycle rides are a bit expensive, so it’s advisable to take a jeep which is just P8 for a 10-minute ride. At The Circle Hostel, the going rate to rent a hammock starts at P450. Overall, you can stay for two days by spending just under P2,000. Food in the area is cheap; you can have a full meal at P100.
Another surfing destination in the country in La Union. The cheapest bus ride from Metro Manila is about P400. You can stay at Flotsam & Jetsam for about P700 a night on weekdays and P800 on weekends. If you want to stay overnight, they have nipa huts good for six to eight persons for just P800. The resort also offers multiple pools, picnic areas, zip-lining, kayaking, and fishing.
The Subic Bay Freeport Zone is a good place to go shopping because of their outlet stores. You can visit Royal Subic Duty Free Mall, Freeport Exchange, and The Outlet Store for great deals on imported goods. You can also stay at Subic Waterfront Resort and Hotel for just P1,100 a night, breakfast included.
There are so many things to do and explore in Batangas, and it will only cost you about P150 to P200 to get there. You can stay at Anfa Royale Hotel in Lipa City for just P1,500 for a standard room for two that comes with free breakfast. They have a lounge pool where you can relax and a bar for some drinks. For places to visit, you can try The Metropolitan Cathedral of San Sebastian, The Malipunyo Mountain Range, Museo de Lipa, and Museo ng Katipunan to name a few.
For a cultural experience like no other, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan will transport you back to the 18th century. An overnight stay at their rooms can be pricey but their heritage tours are simply affordable.
