But don’t be so quick to dismiss a trip to this quiet town in Aurora if you’re not looking to surf, as it offers many other tourist spots that are perfect for travelers of all kinds.

Yes, you read that right.

    Anyone who’s a sucker for a killer view will enjoy a walk down the Baler Hanging Bridge. The steel-cable footbridge that hangs above the waters of Tibag-Sabang river was actually never meant to be a tourist spot. But once you cross the bridge, it’s hard not to stop and get consumed by its beauty and probably take a photo or two.
  3. Ditumabo Falls

    Though not exactly located within the town of Baler, Ditumabo Falls, also known as the Mother Falls, is just a 30-minute drive away. It is said to be the tallest among the four other falls in the province at 140 feet high, which makes it one of the must-see sites in Baler. A visit to the Mother Falls requires a bit of trekking but it will only be a much more rewarding experience to see the waterfall in its own glory.

    Take a walk back in time and learn all about Baler’s rich history and culture at Museo de Baler. The museum showcases artifacts mainly from the pre-colonial and Spanish era that is evident in the town’s heavy Hispanic influence.   19. Ermita Hill

    There are plenty of things to do at Ermita Hill that you’ll probably have to dedicate half a day of your trip. It is best known as the place where survivors of the Tromba Marina tsunami back in 1735 sought refuge and have since then become a notable tourist spot. Be prepared to climb to the top of White Cross where you can also get a panoramic view of Sabang Beach and while you’re making your way up, don’t forget to stop by the love locks.
