Cebu Pacific announced on February 19 that it is reducing its year-round fares for over 70 domestic destinations.
According to a report from CNN Philippines, Cebu Pacific is lowering its fares to help support the government’s plans to promote domestic travel amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The airline company said that they will sell tickets with a base fare starting at P88 on February 19. The reduced fare covers flights originating from Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro (Laguindingan), Davao, Iloilo, and Zamboanga.
Apart from lowering ticket costs, Cebu Pacific has also increased seats across flights from Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Cebu, Puerto Princesa, Iloilo, and Bacolod. It also includes flights between Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, and Iloilo.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience, said, “We are one with the government and fellow tourism stakeholders during this challenging time. Through this increase in the supply of seats and fare reductions across our domestic route network, we hope to encourage Philippine residents to travel and explore the country.”
