Museumgoers can enjoy free entrance to the Yuchengco Museum on October 7 and 8 in celebration of Museums and Galleries Month.
This year’s theme is centered on “Building The Nation, One Exhibit At A Time” which recognizes the role of museums and galleries in creating national consciousness for Filipinos.
Located in Makati, Yuchengco Museum houses priceless works of art by National Artists such as Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo, Carlos “Botong” Francisco, Vicente Manansala, and Napoleon Abueva.
The museum is also home to the Insta-worthy art installation called Suspended Garden which looks like a floating Japanese Zen garden created by Tony Gonzales and Tes Pasola. The installation provides a relaxing and meditative atmosphere if you want to get away from the bustle of city life, even for just a second.
Yuchengco Museum is at the RCBC Plaza, Ayala cor. Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenues, Makati City. Museum hours are from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit the Yuchengco Museum’s website.
