My family and I will be going on an Asian summer cruise end of May. I would appreciate it if you could help me with the essential pieces to bring with me. How can I travel light and still look fashionable? I’ll also be spending four days in Singapore alone before boarding for the cruise, so packing light is a dilemma for me .
Thank you so much and I hope to hear from you soon enough to give me time to shop. Cheers and more power!
The trick to packing light is to gather basics like jeans, shorts, tops, etc. in a neutral hue (cream, black, white, blue), and then throw in some colorful accent pieces for layering and to change the look of your basics—for instance, pair a little black dress (your basic) with flats for day wear, then wear it with a sparkly belt or red shoes for a night out. Having a neutral base will make it easier to mix and match and also to change the look of your clothes. Just make sure to limit your accent colors to three at the most so you don't over-pack and confuse yourself.
Thanks for writing!
