Philippine Airlines kicked off the start of 2020 by adding a brand-new route as the flag carrier launched its daily service between Davao and Iloilo on January 3.
Philippine Airlines had its maiden Davao to Iloilo flight via a new 86-seater Dash-8 airplane which will be used for this particular route, PhilStar reported.
Aimed at promoting trade and tourism between the two cities, Philippine Airlines said that the route will support the Department of Tourism’s program to help make Iloilo the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) destination of 2020.
The report added that those who are traveling the Iloilo-Davao route can easily connect to other Philippine Airlines destinations like Siargao, Zamboanga, and Tagbilaran.
Philippine Airlines Area Head for the Visayas and Mindanao Harry Inoferio said, “It provides Davaoeños and Ilonggos better travel options with affordable and competitive rates. It allows the market to maximize their time with the early morning departures out of Davao and Iloilo.”
