In Case You Come Back Book Launch
Single and sawi? The book In Case You Come Back might just hit the spot for you. It's got over 100 poems by former Candy editor-in-chief Marla Miniano and singer-songwriter Reese Lansangan, with illustrations by Jamie Catt. The launch and book signing will be on February 14 at Eastwood Central Plaza. Bring your other sawi friends and you'll have a good time reading some of the works together.

A Valentine's Day buffet dinner awaits you at the Market Cafe. Priced at P2,750 per person from February 13 to 14 (P2,250 per person if you're a Club Epicure member), the buffet also includes free-flowing red, white, and sparkling wines, as well as local beer.
If you love Chinese food (and also want to celebrate the Chinese New Year with Valentine's Day), Li Li, the hotel's Chinese restaurant, is for you. It offers a special Valentine's Day set menu centering on authentic Cantonese dishes, and you get a glass of red, white, sparkling wine or cranberry mocktails. The oriental Valentine's Day menu will be offered from February 12 to 14 for P2,500 per person (P2,000 per person if you're a Club Epicure member).
If you (and your date) don't mind spending more for a romantic evening, you can dine at The Fireplace which offers steak and seafood. It's Valentine's dinner set for two with complementary glass of champagne per person is P4,500 per person (P4,000 for Club Epicure members).
The chefs at Cucina will offer a special hearts day-themed buffet spread from February 9 to 14. You can enjoy the lunch buffet at P2,200 per person or dinner at P2,700 per person.
You can cap that date off by sipping cocktails and admiring a panoramic view of the city at Vu's Sky Bar and Lounge. The buffet tapas is P2,600 per person, inclusive of one welcome drink. It's open for lunch on February 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. (Or this could be your lunch or dinner date!)
Boasting delicious modern European cuisine, Old Manila offers five-course meals for your Valentine's Day celebration. From February 12 to 14 6:30 to 11:00 p.m., you can have a fine dining experience for P4,900. On Valentine's Day itself, you can opt for a lunch date from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The lunch set has a four-course meal for P4,600 and a five-course meal for 4,900.

While you can get a spa treatment anywhere in the city, you and your date can have more special ones by going to Le Spa at Sofitel. Their Couple's Romantic Ritual gives you three hours at a couple's suite with a 90-minute Filipino massage for two with a bottle of wine and some chocolate truffles, and a bath ritual—all for P7,500. Or you can go for the Jardin D'Eden, a three-hour pampering massage session with overnight accommodation and breakfast for two, for P12,800.
You can also head to Qiwellness Spa in Tagaytay for the three-hour Quick Escape Spa Package designed for couples. A hydrotherapy pool, a foot reflexology session, a relaxing massage, and a private room and shower await you. It costs P2,580 per person.
Pop-up Night Film Viewing
Celebrating the eve of Valentine's Day under the stars can be extra romantic when there are rom-coms rolling and you and your date are cozying up on a mat and enjoying a packed dinner or some popcorn. Even if you're single, this shouldn't be a problem; you can bring your friends and enjoy the night together. Head to Circuit Makati on the 13th and catch My Best Friend's Wedding at 6:00 p.m., You've Got Mail at 8:00 p.m., and Jerry Maguire at 10:00 p.m.—all kilig-worthy films! If those movies and the setting aren't enough to convince you to go, know this: ADMISSION IS FREE!
