Can you believe there are only 75 days left to Christmas?
Sure, Christmas carols are already playing in the malls, and we're well into the second "Ber" month of the year, but for many Filipinos, Christmastime doesn't officially begin until they feel that familiar cold breeze commonly associated with the Yuletide season.
Good news, though. According to a report by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical And Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), habagat season or the southwest monsoon is close coming to an end. In fact, we're officially in the transition period from habagat to the amihan season, which brings the cold weather most, if not all of us, love.
As we wait for sweater weather to officially roll in, the country will experience a couple more thunderstorms, though. PAGASA is also closely monitoring a typhoon named Typhoon Hagibis that may potentially enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
