A dog named Bubuy recently broke the hearts of people as he was seen pawing at the faculty room of the Mabalacat City College as he waited for his owner, Professor Carmelito Marcelo, to come out. However, the professor had a stroke a week before and died on Saturday, May 18.
The video, which has since gone viral, was uploaded via Facebook by Mark Christian Arceo on May 20.
Ma. Kristina Paola Demafelix shared a series of photos of Bubuy and Professor Marcelo on Facebook on May 20. The photos reveal how close Bubuy and Professor Marcelo were as the dog accompanied him in class and followed him around in school. As a tribute, Kristina brought Bubuy to the professor’s wake where he stood guard at the foot of the late professor’s coffin.
Kristina wrote, “Every time I [see] you Buboy, naiiyak ako…
Kristina recounted that Bubuy would follow Professor Marcelo around every time he had a class, and each morning, Bubuy would run towards the school gate to greet the professor. During lunch, Bubuy would patiently wait outside the faculty room to receive his meal from the professor. When the school day ends, Kristina shared that Bubuy would walk with the professor out to the school gate.
If in case you were wondering what will happen to Bubuy after all this, Kristina made an assurance that the dog is doing well and he has a fur-ever home in the school grounds.
