The Metro Manila Pride March and Festival 2020 will happen on June 27, the Metro Manila Pride organization announced yesterday.

To talk about the other details of the Philippine LGBTQIA+ community's biggest annual celebration and protest, the Metro Manila Pride is organizing a community meeting on February 2 at 1 p.m. in a cafe and bar in Makati.
Last year's Metro Manila Pride March and Festival held at the Marikina City Sports Center was a success despite the occasional downpour, with 77,000 individuals and 395 organizations in attendance to #ResistTogether.
The Metro Manila Pride March has been a practice in the Philippines since 1996. The organization Metro Manila Pride has been the event organizer since it took over in 2017.
The event is more than just a party. According to the organization's website, "Pride is not merely a celebration of our community—it is a protest against the status quo. It is a place to express dissent against injustice and oppression; a chance for us to uphold our human rights and that of other minorities."
