Secretary Villar said, “Considering that Baguio is a go-to holiday destination, we opened the segment to provide ease to our tourists who want to experience the beauty of the City of Pines. While significantly cutting travel time, we also want to ensure that the expressway is of [the] utmost quality for their safety.”

What’s more, holidaymakers who are headed to Baguio need not worry about extra charges as they would not be asked to pay a toll fee.

“There will be no payment yet. It’s our small gift to our fellow Filipinos, tourists, and their families,” Secretary Villar said.
