Office workers, some wearing face masks along with their suits, lined the streets of Central, Hong Kong, on November 11, in support of a flash protest held on Connaught Road and surrounding areas.
Protesters blocked roads and disrupted transportation a day after violent clashes in the city, which saw a man set alight during a confrontation and a protester shot at point-blank range during a tussle with a police officer.
Elsewhere on November 11, police and protesters clashed at the Chinese University with tear gas used and protesters setting fire to a car.
Anti-government demonstrations in Hong Kong have been ongoing since April 2019, prompted by a proposed extradition bill that would have allowed criminal suspects to be transferred to mainland China. The bill was formally withdrawn in late October.
