Great news. You can actually watch some of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games sporting events for free!

That's right. Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) Chairman Alan Peter Cayetano made the announcement in a press interview yesterday, November 29.

“Upon instructions of the President, to make sure that all Filipinos who want to watch live can be physically present sa games, the organizing committee has decided that all games na hindi pa sold out 'yung tickets ay i-open at ilibre na," said Cayetano.

For games that have yet to be sold out, tickets will be given away for free. This, however, does not apply to basketball, volleyball, and football games, as these matches are already sold out.

“There are non-ticketed sports which are open to the public and there are also no complimentary tickets due to full capacity. Yung full capacity, 'yun po yung sinasabi namin na sold out na,” Cayetano clarified. Non-ticketed sports include lawn ball, golf, and squash.

Tickets will also be given away for the SEA Games closing ceremony on December 11, Wednesday. At least 10,000 tickets will be made available for this online but on a first-come, first-served basis.
