After a long period of speculation that she had finally called it quits with her husband Pancho Magno, Max Collins finally silenced the rumor mill and confirmed the news in an interview.
Talking to Boy Abunda, she explained why she kept mum about their separation for so long, revealing that it happened amid the pandemic. "I didn't talk about it because syempre, marami kaming pinagdaan as a family that time... there was a pandemic, nanganak ako, my marriage was falling apart..."
She added, "I had to process everything, and I wanted to quiet the noise. I didn't want to hear other's people's opinions, suggestions, comments...ayaw kong gawing teleserye 'yung buhay namin."
The actress also cleared that the decision to go their separate ways is mutual. "Every separation is difficult, but it was amicable," she said. "We were not working (out), and we needed to try spending time apart to see how that would work because we have a son to think about."

She also disclosed that they did everything they could to work out their marriage. "Dumating 'yung point na we stopped becoming in denial about it," she said. "I didn't want to lie to myself anymore, and I think he didn't want to as well."
Since then, they have decided to co-parent their son. "We're in a very good place now. Our child is almost three, and he's very happy and healthy. We have a very good co-parenting relationship."
Max even disclosed that their relationship is even better now that they’re not romantically linked. "We're the best of friends, (and) we're closer now."
