People say exes are like assholes because everyone's got one. But they're also like assholes because many of them are just complete and utter assholes. Whether you've broken up with someone respectfully and honestly, only to have them scream in your face that you're a "bitch" who will die alone, or had someone dump you because you're too "high maintenance" when you just expected them to maybe send you a text to check in once a week—we've all been there.

New Twitter account SheRateDogs knows this too, and has been set up to let people share (and rate) the most ludicrous, crappy and outright disrespectful texts people have been sent by the people they've dated. As the Twitter bio explains, "it's like WeRateDogs except the dogs are your exes." And it is WILD.

One woman submitted a screenshot of a slew of messages she received from her ex after he cheated on her and she ended it. And then there was the woman who contacted her ex after a wake, to send her condolences. And what was his response to her heartfelt and considerate message? Literally, "send nudes". Rated: -6 out of 10 dog.

As one person Twitter put it, the account is basically the online version of strangers in the toilets on a night out holding your hair back while you're sick.

The account was only set up this month and has already got more than 37,000 followers. It seems a lot of us can hard relate to this bullshit.
